Petronas Lubricants Italy entrusted Bierre Automazioni with the refurbishment of a double-inlet high-level palletizer serving two separate packaging lines at the lubricating oil production plant in Villastellone (TO).
After a deep analysis and a meticulous design phase based upon detailed site surveys, Bierre Automazioni professionals carried out the following activities on the existing machine, which recovered the optimal level of efficiency to match the capacity of the two upstream lines, so hitting the target of the full customer’s satisfaction:
- installation of new inlet conveyors;
- general mechanical maintenance;
- change-over modifications to handle the new 20 lt plastic drum format in place of the old metal can formats;
- complete repainting;
- new electrical system;
- new control cabinet with PLC;
- new perimetral safety protections with dedicated circuit;
- EC certification;
- final commissioning.
Achieved results
The complete revamping of the existing palletizer allowed Petronas Lubricants Italy to restore the required line productivity at significantly lower cost and downtime than installing a new machine.
